The Mesa Refinery Watch is a community-based group of volunteers with background as scientists, engineers, business owners, government officials, health care professionals and others. Our commonality of concern regards the crude-by-rail project that had been proposed by Phillips 66.
Our multi-disciplinary group studies and reports on reliable facts related to the transport of crude oil by train and how it would impact the Nipomo Mesa refinery and communities throughout California. The scope of our analyses include health, safety, economic, lifestyle and other tangible and intangible detriments that would occur should such a project be approved. Our evidence-based research constantly uncovers new information. Read our newsletters for the most current information -- Newsletters/Docs.
